- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt

- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups peeled and diced apples (about 2 medium apples)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar (for filling)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for filling)
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- In another bowl, mix the melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until well incorporated.
- Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring gently until combined.
- In a separate bowl, combine the diced apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Mix until the apples are well coated.
- Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Spread half of the apple filling over the batter. Pour the remaining batter on top and finish with the rest of the apple filling.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Once baked, remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes. Then transfer the bread to a wire rack to cool completely.
- In a small bowl, combine powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth and drizzly.
- Once the bread is completely cool, drizzle the glaze over the top to give it a beautiful finish.
