- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 batch pretzel dough (homemade or store-bought)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 small onion (diced)
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- Coarse salt (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment.
- In a skillet, cook beef with onion, Worcestershire, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until browned. Let cool slightly.
- Divide pretzel dough into 6 pieces; flatten each into a circle.
- Place beef filling and cheddar in the center, then seal tightly into a ball.
- Brush tops with egg wash and sprinkle with coarse salt.
- Bake 20–22 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving warm with dipping sauce if desired.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add jalapeños to the beef mixture.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce, such as mustard or ketchup.
- These buns can be made ahead and frozen for later use.
