Description

A comforting casserole featuring tender potatoes and smoky kielbasa sausage baked in a rich, creamy cheese sauce, topped with crispy bacon.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Kielbasa sausage (sliced)
  • 4 cups Potatoes (thinly sliced)
  • 2 cups Cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 Onion (optional)
  • 4 slices Bacon (cooked and crumbled)
  • Parsley (for garnish)
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Cook sliced kielbasa in a skillet until browned, then set aside.
  3. In the same pan, make a cheese sauce with butter, cream, cheddar, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Layer half the sliced potatoes in the dish, top with sausage, then pour cheese sauce. Repeat layers.
  5. Sprinkle remaining cheese over the top.
  6. Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes until potatoes are tender and golden.
  7. Top with crumbled bacon and parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add sautéed onions to the sausage layer.
  • Ensure potatoes are thinly sliced for even cooking.
  • Can substitute kielbasa with other smoked sausages if desired.
