- 2½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups powdered sugar (for icing)
- 2–3 tbsp milk
- Red and green sugar pearls or sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment.
- Cream butter and sugar until fluffy, then beat in egg and vanilla.
- Add flour gradually to form a soft dough; chill for 20 minutes.
- Roll out dough and cut into tree shapes using a cookie cutter.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges turn golden. Cool completely.
- Mix powdered sugar and milk into smooth icing; spread over cookies.
- Decorate with red and green sprinkles before icing sets.

- Ensure the butter is softened for easier mixing.
- Chilling the dough helps in easier handling and better cookie shape.
- Feel free to use different colors of sprinkles for decoration.
