- 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- ¾ cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon (for swirl)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and line a muffin tin with paper cups.
- Mix flour and baking powder in a bowl.
- In another bowl, whisk melted butter, sugar, eggs, milk, and vanilla.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients until smooth.
- Beat cream cheese separately until creamy.
- Layer muffin batter and cream cheese alternately in cups, swirling cinnamon sugar through with a toothpick.
- Bake for 18–20 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.

- Ensure the cream cheese is softened for easy mixing.
- Do not overmix the batter to keep the muffins light and fluffy.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
