- 1 pie crust (homemade or store-bought)
- 4 large eggs
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1½ cups whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1½ tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- ¼ tsp ground nutmeg (optional)
- 1 tsp orange zest (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar until well combined.
- Add the whole milk, heavy cream, ground cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt to the egg mixture and mix well.
- If using, stir in the ground nutmeg and orange zest.
- Pour the custard mixture into the prepared pie crust.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the custard is set and lightly golden.
- Let the pie cool before serving.
Notes
- This pie can be served warm or chilled.
- For a twist, try adding other spices according to your taste.
