Instructions

  1. Crust Layer: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, melted butter, and chopped pecans. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish to form the crust. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until lightly golden. Let it cool completely.
  2. Cream Cheese Layer: In another bowl, beat together softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract (if using) until smooth. Fold in half of the whipped topping. Spread this mixture evenly over the cooled crust.
  3. Pudding Layer: Whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix with cold milk until thickened. Spread the pudding mixture over the cream cheese layer evenly.
  4. Whipped Topping Layer: Spread the remaining whipped topping over the pudding layer.
  5. Garnish: Sprinkle whole pecans on top for garnish.
