Description

Crispy Fried Pani Puri Bombs are a delightful twist on the traditional Indian street food, featuring crispy puris filled with spiced mashed potatoes and topped with tangy tamarind chutney.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 puris (golgappa shells)
  • 1 cup spiced mashed potatoes
  • 1/2 cup tamarind chutney
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
  • 12 green chilies, chopped
  • 1 tsp chaat masala
  • Oil for frying
  • Fresh coriander for garnish

Instructions

  1. Stuff each puri with a small amount of spiced mashed potatoes.
  2. Carefully dip and fry the filled puris in hot oil at 350°F until golden and crispy.
  3. Place fried puris on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  4. Spoon tamarind chutney inside each puri.
  5. Top with chopped onions, green chilies, and a sprinkle of chaat masala.
  6. Garnish with coriander and serve immediately while warm and crisp.

Notes

  • Ensure the oil is hot enough before frying to achieve the perfect crispiness.
  • Adjust the spice level by varying the amount of green chilies used.
  • These can be served as a snack or appetizer at parties.
