Description
Delicious cheesy beef hoagies made in a crockpot.
Ingredients

- 2 lbs thinly sliced beef (such as ribeye or flank steak)
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 slices provolone cheese (or alternatives such as Swiss or mozzarella)
- Hoagie rolls or sub sandwich bread
Instructions
- Season the sliced beef with salt and pepper. You can slice the beef the night before to save time.
- In your crockpot, layer the beef, onion, and both bell peppers. Pour the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce over the top.
- Cover the crockpot and cook on low for about 6-8 hours until the beef is tender and flavors meld beautifully.
- About 15 minutes before serving, lay the provolone cheese on top. Cover again until the cheese has melted.
- Serve the cheesy beef mixture in hoagie rolls, and enjoy your delicious creation!
Notes
- This recipe can be prepared a day in advance by slicing the beef and seasoning it the night before.
