Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Black ganache or icing for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and baking soda.
  3. Add eggs, buttermilk, oil, and vanilla; mix until smooth and well combined.
