Description

A delicious and healthy protein-packed french toast recipe perfect for breakfast!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 Tablespoons unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)
  • 1 scoop (25-30g) vanilla protein powder (I used Equip)
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch of sea salt
  • 2 slices whole grain or high-protein bread (like Dave’s Killer Bread powerseed bread)
  • Cooking spray or a little coconut oil for the pan

Instructions

  1. In a shallow bowl or dish, whisk together the egg, almond milk, protein powder, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt until smooth and no clumps remain.
  2. Dip each slice of bread in the mixture, letting it soak for 15–30 seconds per side.
  3. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat and spray with cooking spray.
  4. Cook the soaked bread slices for 2–3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Transfer to a plate and top with your favorite toppings. Enjoy warm!

Notes

  • This recipe can be customized with various toppings such as fresh fruit, yogurt, or nut butter.
  • Make sure to use a good nonstick skillet to prevent sticking.
