Ingredients

  • 8 oz Shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 2 cups Cooked rice (preferably day-old)
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 4 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 2 Green onions or chives (chopped)
  • 1 Carrot (diced)
  • 1 tbsp Sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat butter in a skillet and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  2. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook until pink and slightly golden; set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add a bit more butter and toss in carrots and rice.
  4. Stir-fry with soy sauce and sesame oil until evenly coated and lightly crispy.
  5. Press rice into a small mold or bowl to form a stack shape, then plate.
  6. Arrange garlic shrimp neatly on top and garnish with chopped chives or green onions.
  7. Serve warm with a drizzle of extra butter sauce from the pan.
