Description

Ingredients

  • 4 slices brioche bread
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • Oil for frying (enough for 1 inch in the pan)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix softened cream cheese, sugar, and cinnamon until smooth. Gently fold in the chopped strawberries.
  2. Spread the cream cheese mixture onto one slice of bread and top with another slice to form a sandwich. Repeat with remaining slices.
  3. In a shallow bowl, whisk together beaten eggs and milk to create an egg wash.
  4. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering (about 350°F).
  5. Dip each sandwich into the egg wash and fry for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Drain on paper towels and serve warm with powdered sugar or your favorite toppings.
