Description
Delicious no-bake peanut butter oat balls that are easy to make and perfect for a quick snack.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter (use natural peanut butter for best flavor)
- 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup (maple syrup makes it vegan-friendly)
- 2 cups rolled oats (old-fashioned oats work best)
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (mini chocolate chips can also be used)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (provides extra flavor)
- a pinch of salt (balancing flavor)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together the creamy peanut butter and honey (or maple syrup) until smooth.
- Stir in rolled oats, chocolate chips, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until everything is well combined. The mixture should be thick and sticky.
- Place the bowl in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to make the mixture easier to roll into balls.
- Once chilled, scoop about a tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a ball between your hands. Repeat until all the mixture is used.
- For a firmer texture, you can chill the balls once more before serving.
Notes
- For best flavor, use natural peanut butter.
- Maple syrup is a great vegan substitute for honey.
