Description

Delicious burritos stuffed with flavorful steak, crispy fries, and melty cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fries (frozen or homemade)
  • 1 lb steak (flank, sirloin, or ribeye, thinly sliced)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a blend)
  • 2 large tortillas (flour or whole wheat)
  • 1 medium onion (sliced, optional)
  • 1 medium bell pepper (sliced, optional)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • as needed Olive oil for cooking
  • for serving sour cream
  • for serving guacamole
  • for serving salsa
  • for serving hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Begin by preparing the fries according to the package instructions or by making them from scratch. Aim for them to be crispy and golden.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a splash of olive oil. Once hot, add the sliced steak, season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, and cook for about 5-7 minutes until browned. If using, toss in onions and bell peppers and sauté until they are soft.
  3. Lay the tortillas out flat and start layering. Begin with a generous amount of the cooked steak, followed by the crispy fries, and then sprinkle the shredded cheese on top.
  4. Carefully fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll it tightly from the bottom up, securing all that delicious filling.
  5. If desired, place the rolled burritos back in the skillet for a minute or two on each side to lightly toast and melt the cheese inside.
  6. Slice the burritos in half and serve them warm with your favorite toppings!
