Scale
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 ¾ cups buttermilk
- ½ cup unsalted butter (1 stick), melted
- Optional: flaky salt or garlic powder for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450°F (232°C). Place the stick of butter in an 8×8-inch baking dish and melt it in the oven. Do not let it brown.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar (if using).

- Bake for 25–28 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
- Cool for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
Notes
- For extra flavor, consider adding garlic powder as a topping before baking.
- These biscuits are best served warm!
