Ingredients

  • Sugar
  • Egg yolks

Instructions

  1. Brew espresso and let it cool; add liqueur if using.
  2. Whisk egg yolks with sugar until pale, then fold in mascarpone.
  3. Whip cream until soft peaks form, then gently fold into mascarpone mixture.
  4. Quickly dip ladyfingers into cooled espresso and layer them in a dish.
  5. Spread half the mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers.
  6. Repeat layers with more soaked biscuits and mascarpone cream.
  7. Dust generously with cocoa powder, chill at least 6 hours, and garnish with whipped cream and strawberries before serving.
