Crispy golden chicken tenders glazed in honey butter, served with rich cheddar mac and cheese.

- 1 lb chicken tenders
- 1/2 cup honey
- 3 tbsp butter
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 cups milk
- 2 tbsp butter (for roux)
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional for chicken coating)
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season chicken tenders with salt and pepper, dredge in flour or breadcrumbs if desired, and fry or bake until crispy and golden.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and whisk in honey to make a glaze. Toss chicken tenders until coated.
- Cook macaroni until al dente; drain.
- In another pot, melt butter, whisk in flour, then slowly add milk to form a creamy sauce.
- Stir in shredded cheddar until smooth and velvety.
- Combine cheese sauce with macaroni, season with salt and pepper.
- Plate mac & cheese with honey butter chicken tenders, garnish with parsley, and serve hot.
Notes
- For extra crunch, use breadcrumbs on the chicken tenders.
- Adjust the amount of honey based on your sweetness preference.
- Garnish with additional parsley for a fresh touch.
