Description

Crispy golden chicken tenders glazed in honey butter, served with rich cheddar mac and cheese.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken tenders
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 tbsp butter (for roux)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional for chicken coating)
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season chicken tenders with salt and pepper, dredge in flour or breadcrumbs if desired, and fry or bake until crispy and golden.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter and whisk in honey to make a glaze. Toss chicken tenders until coated.
  3. Cook macaroni until al dente; drain.
  4. In another pot, melt butter, whisk in flour, then slowly add milk to form a creamy sauce.
  5. Stir in shredded cheddar until smooth and velvety.
  6. Combine cheese sauce with macaroni, season with salt and pepper.
  7. Plate mac & cheese with honey butter chicken tenders, garnish with parsley, and serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, use breadcrumbs on the chicken tenders.
  • Adjust the amount of honey based on your sweetness preference.
