Description

These Peppermint Bark Oreos are a delicious treat, perfect for the holiday season.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (340 g) white chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable shortening (or coconut oil, or vegetable oil, optional)
  • ½ teaspoon mint extract
  • 16 Oreos
  • ½ cup peppermint candies (crushed)

Instructions

  1. Line a cookie sheet with wax or parchment paper. Set the sheet aside.
  2. Add the white chocolate chips to a bowl. Add the shortening or oil if using. Melt your white chocolate in the microwave on 30 second intervals until the chocolate is completely melted. Stir after each interval.
  3. Once the chocolate is completely melted, quickly whisk in the mint extract.
  4. Dip each Oreo in the melted chocolate and place the Oreos on the prepared pan. Sprinkle each Oreo with some crushed peppermint candies.
  5. Chill your peppermint bark Oreos in the fridge for 30 minutes, or until the chocolate has set. Enjoy!
