Description

Delicious chocolate cookies with shelled pistachios for a crunchy twist.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup shelled pistachios
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, and salt, then gradually mix into the butter mixture.
  5. Fold in the pistachios and chocolate chips.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are set.
  8. Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of cinnamon to the dry ingredients.
