Description

A delicious seafood dish featuring scallops and shrimp sautéed in garlic butter.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound large scallops
  • 1 pound large shrimp, deveined and peeled
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the scallops and shrimp under cold water, then pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. In a bowl, season the scallops and shrimp with salt, pepper, and paprika. Toss until well-coated.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter until foamy.
  4. Add the scallops to the skillet and sear them for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add the remaining 4 tablespoons of butter and let it melt. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.
  7. Return the scallops to the skillet, add lemon juice, and gently toss everything together until evenly coated with the garlic butter.
  8. Remove from heat, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve immediately.
